This helps us to run to time and avoid inconvenience to other patients. Please don't be upset if we ask you to re-book if you wish to discuss other problems.
- Not all the Doctors work full time.
- Extended hours will be covered by different GPs on a rota basis please enquire if you want to see a particular GP at these times.
- Some Doctors have other commitments, including hospital sessions, education, training and NHS management roles.
- This table does not take into account Holidays, Sickness and other circumstances that can affect the availability of a Doctor.
Booking an Appointment
The Practice operates an appointment system. Appointments can be made up to a week in advance by telephone (01772 909914 or 909915 choose option 1) or you may call in to the Surgery. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please ring and cancel, giving as much notice as possible. If you feel it is a medical emergency and cannot wait until the next bookable appointment, an appointment time will be given for you to be seen by the Duty Doctor, but you may have to wait. It will be necessary to tell the receptionist what your symptoms are. This information will remain strictly confidential. If you are registered with Emis access you can view any appointments you have made online (for more information about Emis Access, click here).
Home Visits
Patients too ill to attend the surgery may request a home visit by telephoning 01772 909914 or 909915 before 10.30am. Please explain the problem to the receptionist. All visit requests are triaged by a Doctor.
Outside of Surgery Hours
Medical advice can be obtained by telephoning Chorley Medics (01257 418010) or NHS Direct (0845 4647). You can also find advice and information on the NHS Direct Website.
New Patients
If you wish to register at the Surgery, come down to the surgery, where you will be asked to complete the appropriate forms. You should also book a patient registration appointment at that time.
